Its Friday lunch time and its that time when I'm in fishing mode.
Looking at the forecast, and its going to p**s it down tomorrow, which is my only avaliable day to fish!!!
Being the case and with less than 6 weeks to the end of the piking season for me, I need to get out on the bank at every opportunity.

Another Two Days of Fishing & a Italian Stallion
Well Friday and Monday and my allocated fishing days. Two days don't come along very oftern, so I'm grabbing them with both hands.
Both session's will be for pike I feel and I think that I try two waters. An old favourite and the young pretender.
Both have high water levels due to the thaw and the floods, so the water maybe abit coloured. It's also getting to the time of the year when the big girles should be in feeding mood prior to spawning, so with any luck I can get a high double out of one or both of the waters.
Will up date you next week.
Photoshop has been on the recent forums as a certain italian gentleman Maurizio Rossini's has been posting some impressive captures. The question on the forums is are they altered to increase their size. The decision is yours.....only he really knows

Looking forward not back
Its 8ish on Thursday and that's how excited I am about pike fishing this weekend.
The weather looks smelly, but me and Blankman have only one window of fishing available to us for the weekend.
So the gear is out and ready for a early morning started.
It been a quiet period personsally since my last outing, but the local grapevine has been rumbling about a couple of decent fish coming for waters that I don't normally fish. Now most will be thing that's where we will be heading for the weekend, but we not.
Its nice to fish commercial water once in a while, but looking at the amount of hammering them have had since they have opened, I fear for the fish. But it not my water and I understand that they are out for make money to keep them running.
They have brought in new set of rules which hopefully will mean that only experience and well equipped for these fragile fish.
Looking on the PAC site, it looks like my hero ET Eddie Turner) has returned to the forums, I hope he's not chased away by ignorance person. From what I've read and heard from guys who know him personally he's a top bloke and is willing to help us lesser pike anglers. If I was followed around like he gets with 30lb pike, I would be a very happy angler.
Nice to see you back ET, if you ever fancy a quiet days fishing, pm me mate.
No to the rest of us mere mortal, its to the weekend we look forward too and I hope the weather isn't going to be too bad in your various locations.

Preparing for Another 2 days....
Today is Fridays and tomorrow is fishing day. Weather looks good and there should be a nice ripple on the water to get old Esox excited.
Plan is to go on a rove around one of the still waters and try to get the big girls on the feed. Even though I have had a number of pike including a few low doubles it would be nice to get a high teen over even a twenty under my belt.
I also have flexi day on Monday, so I will be again able to fish, but not with Blankman who is my normal piking fishing partner. Monday with see a brand new chapter of fishing with a local lad who I met at work. He has an impressive caught list of pike and I'm hoping that some of his good luck will rub off on me.
Picked up some additional dead baits bait from Gladwells County Store in Copdock. They do a small selection of fishing gear for Pike, Carp and Sea fishing, and sell the likes of Eddie Turner and Fox gear. Just ask for Michael and I'm sure he will help you out with what you need.
Bait boat is going well, I re assembled and soldered all of the electrics during the week and soldered on new switches. I've even installed a bright rear flashing light to night time fish. I have set this up under its own power supply (9v), so that the main motor servo battery isn't drained.
I'll do another write on the weekends advertures early next week to let you know, how I've gotten on.
TL for now..
PS Michael, Sheba is now down to 40p per 100g ;-)

What to do...
Well the bait freezer is back online....but alas no bait ......I did look into a claim on the old house insurance, but for the cost of the bait against the cost of the excess......it wouldn't be worth while.....So it Wednesday, I'm at work and planning my Friday flexi day off so it decision time.......Do I......
a) fish the my favourite "pond" for it double figure bream on a twin rod methods and hope the old tench make an appearance
b) fish the decoy lake for it roach/rudd on the float and hope that the tench and carp make an appearance on the method feeder
c)fish SWP specimen lake which is a very commercial big carp water, and fish for it bream and tench which the carpers caught regularly, but they dismiss.....
Decisions, decisions .....All will be fished with similar baits and tactic.......sweet corn, halibut pellets over a fishy ground bait hempy..........
But if I fish the decoy, I need Red Maggots and that could mean me going to the tackle shop and having to buy other tackle that I probably don't need I also need to take the cat "Buster" to the vets tomorrow......at 17;40.....so a trip to the tackle shop could leave this a bit tight in getting home and getting the cat in for his domain of the meadow where he is probably right now chasing some little critters ..
Now the cats "Buster & Spike" are a newish addition to the house hold. Buster is a year and abit old and is my cats....i wanted to call him Dexter after the famous serial killer on Sky1.........but was convinced to call him Buster instead (but I has started to slip and call him Dexter) ............in some ways he is a dog ......when I'm at home he is at my side......when at work he's out in the meadow....hunting,sleep and generally doing cats stuff....... ..........One of these days this cats will be in the car on a fishing trip I'm sure
Spike on the other hand is the wife's cat, he is 9 months old ......Now he like the idea of being outside in the meadow, but realized from an early age that when humans are out at work...this = prime sleeping locations .....aka the king size bed with duvet .......
Anyhow, I degress .....Where should I fish???????
Option A - The pond "free fishing" and a generally relaxed day behind the buzzer with a good chance of bream and the odd tench
Option B - a small charge for a tickets, but likely to be pestered by small roach/rudd.....
Option C costly water, but the rewards could be double figure tench/bream and may be one of the 20's or 30's........The choice is yours!!!TL........
